Drake Breaks Record for Most Number 1’s on the R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay Chart

“After the release of ‘Nothing Was The Same’ Drake broke many Billboard chart records including the R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay record in which he passed Usher. Over time Usher tied things back up and they both had 13 No. 1′s.

This week as “Believe Me” (prod. by Boi-1da & Vinlyz) rises 2-1, Drake scores his 14th No. 1 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart. This breaks the tie with Usher and puts Drake in the number 1 spot.  This week“Believe Me” also takes the number one spot on the Rap Airplay chart and is currently on the Hot 100 sitting at #37.

Additionally, “0 To 100/The Catch Up” which was recently added on iTunes, debuts at #42 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay Chart.

Lil Wayne and Drake rewrite R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay history, as “Believe Me” rises 2-1. With the ascent, featured artist Drake scores his 14th No. 1, passing Usher (13) for the most leaders in the chart’s 22-year history. Meanwhile, Lil Wayne becomes just the third act, following Drake and Usher, to reach a double-digit No. 1 sum, as “Believe” becomes his 10th topper. “

50 Cent and Drake Have a New Track Together

Back in April 50 Cent mentioned there are two artists in the entire industry he wanted to work with, one being Rihanna and the second being rap superstar Drake.

“As artist they do things that I don’t do, it’s a different thing. So we got to find the right place to be working with each other on, the right song.”-50 cent

Unfortunately no one has actually heard of the two working together until yesterday. According to the Konvict Muzik A&R  D-Teck, Fifty and Drizzy have put together a banger.

When a fan asked whether or not it will be on 50’s new album he replied “can’t tell”. Maybe this will be on Views From The 6? Stay tuned for more information.

Drake?

“Yeah. He got last summer. And I’d never given it up till last summer.” Now he’s thinking about taking it back. “It’s a real question for me. Do I want to?”
