A number of billboards have been posted around Drake’s city, all citing the number 416. Those numbers of course are the area code of Toronto but Drake has repeatedly said the albums dropping in April just not what date specifically. Could these billboards with the 416 indicate the 4th month, and the 1st day, of 2016. 04/01/2016 . Maybe it’s just a coincidence or maybe Drake’s Views From The 6 is coming sooner than we hoped.
On Saturday, OVO radio made a lot of noise, dropping Drake’s new single “Summer Sixteen”, they premiered a remix of March Madness by none other than Nas and most importantly, we finally got a release date for Views From The 6! Although the exact date hasn’t been announced, he said the album will come in April and a more specific date will be announced soon “I’ll give you a date later on, just know that we’re working. We’re working.”
What features are you hoping to hear on Drake’s new album?
According to OVO, the jacket is made in Canada, with brown leather sleeves, and a body built out of blue merino wool. A large “O” patch adorns the front of the jacket, with the word “OCTOBER” sewn in patches on the back. Like the jacket Drizzy wore to the Yeezy Season 2 presentation, the sleeve detail features crossed Canadian and U.S. flags.
The jacket is priced at $492, with an extremely limited run of 75 jackets. If that’s not disappointing enough, the jacket will be sold exclusively at the OVO flagship store in Toronto on Sept. 26.
Well the internet may have fooled us with the putitallinaplasticbag.com but now we’ve got a real confirmation from Drake and Future himself. This just announced on Instagram Drake posted a picture of what appears to be the album cover and says the joint album will be for sale on Itunes at 8PM EST Sunday. The caption of both Drake and Future’s picture was “What a time to be alive” possibly indicating the title of the project? Will this be the album of the year? One can only imagine the amount of bangers that will be included on this album.
Thanks to one attendee at Drake’s barbers wedding we can hear below a short snippet of a new Drake song. It sounds as though it’s a remix of D.R.A.M.’s “Cha Cha”. Let us know what you think it is in the comments.
Off of The Game’s highly anticipated album The Documentary 2, Drizzy and Game go back on forth on this track that’s sure to get some air time. Listen to 100 below. Tell us what you think in the comments. Stay tuned for announcements about Views From The 6
White or gold owls? Running or jogging with woes? Toronto or Houston? Or Miami? Are three towns feasible?
It’s a tough life, and it’s made all the more complicated by the extensive web of friendships the rapper has developed with celebrities across all sports, entertainment and beyond.
With this in mind, Drake faced another uniquely Drizzy-ian quandary Tuesday night when he watched the Washington Wizards down his Toronto Raptors for the second time in their first-round Eastern Conference playoffs series.
On one hand, Drake is a Toronto native and the Raptors’ official global ambassador (whatever that is). On the other, he’s cultivated a playful, mock-contentiousrelationship with Wizards veteran Paul Pierce, who is partially responsible for the two-game hole in which Toronto now finds itself.
So while his hometown has spent the last week dogging Pierce, Drake decided to take the high road and congratulate his buddy after a game well won.
A photo emerged recently of Drake slapping hands with a cheesing Pierce after Tuesday night’s game. Glean what you will from it:
